One of the best ways for a complete stranger to warm up to a Japanese girl in Tokyo is to lend her your umbrella on a rainy day. I've done this at least two dozen times. It's common to see really cute girls scampering down the sidewalk, trying to avoid a heavy downpour by slipping under the shops overhangs. Of course the girl could buy an umbrella at a stand for 300 yen or maybe 400 yen if it's already raining wwww. 300 yen can buy a lunch at a convenience shop though! Lucky for guys like us we can take full advantage of the situation.
